Getting Here

Please Plan ahead. Consider public transportation or street parking options close by. The museum is easily accessible from Metro bus routes 17, 40, 44 and the D Line stop at the Ballard Bridge.

Please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements and we will do our best to accommodate.

Pets

We adore furry friends, but to keep our museum safe and comfortable for all visitors, we can only welcome service animals inside that are specially trained to assist individuals with disabilities. Emotional support, comfort, or therapy pets (as wonderful as they are!) aren’t permitted in the museum, since they aren’t recognized as service animals under the ADA.

Food & Drinks

For the protection of our machines, please refrain from bringing outside food and drinks to the museum.

Leave at Home

To help everyone enjoy their visit, we kindly ask that you leave these items at home (or safely tucked away before visiting): Large bags or backpacks – our gallery spaces are cozy, and big bags can bump into our displays. Weapons of any kind – for the safety of all our guests. Cigarettes, vapes, or smoking materials – our museum is a smoke-free space (though the aroma of coffee should be plenty to enjoy!).

Photography

We welcome visitors to take personal, non-commercial photos during their time at the museum. To protect our collection and ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, please refrain from using tripods or other large equipment in the galleries.

If you are interested in arranging commercial photography or filming, please contact us.

Thank you for helping us keep the museum safe and welcoming for all our guests.
